Criticizes Towards CBS

Adam Lambert kissed another man at the American Music Awards last Sunday. This has caused an outburst of opinions.
CBS blurred the scene in which Lambert kissed the man, but on a previous show they did not blur a scene of Madonna and Brittany Spears kissing at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003.
Some people don't think this is fair because gay and lesbians are not being treated the same as other people.

I think it's wrong for CBS to blurr the image. Heterosexual kisses are never blurred, and heterosexual sex isn't even blurred. It goes against the equalities that the U.S. is trying so hard to sort out and uphold recently with gay rights. I understand that they're trying not to offend anyone but either way they are. And I think its better to be moral and offensive than discriminatory and offensive.

I think that homosexual sexulity is so new to everyone and it is such a mixed feeling topic that he public isn't ready for it. The whole Britney Spears and Madonna kiss wasn't with any sexual feeling. Whereas this one would have been. It will be interesting to see how things change in the future with this whole deal.
I think CBS made too big of a deal about this, too. They didn't need to blur the scene of Lambert kissing the keyboardist. On Inside Edition the next night, they showed the kiss, but blurred another image of him "dancing", for lack of a better term. People were definitely shocked by the performance. I thought it was great self-promotion by Lambert.
Although homosexuality is new to the public media wise I don't think it is new to America. We've all seen men kiss men at some point due to less scrutiny the public is putting on their images. I do think it is wrong for CBS to blur the image of Adam Lambert kissing the keyboardist because it shows the opinion of CBS when they should have just been reporting the issue.
